78° North is the latitude of Longyearbyen (Svalbard), the most northerly settlement on earth. The group fly into Longyearbyen (via Oslo), spend a couple of nights preparing before departing. This is a remote, high arctic, full on wilderness expedition on cross country touring skis and this is Polar Bear territory. Once ready, this amazing Arctic Charity Challenge begins with a fast boat journey. It speeds its way from Longyearbyen to the starting point on the sea ice on the island of Spitsbergen. From here on in, the expedition is alone amongst Svalbard’s vast archipelago, venturing into the unspoilt wilderness. The professional and experienced Guides will teach you everything you need to know as you progress across this stunning sheer white arctic frozen landscape. It is truly spectacular.

If you are looking for something different? Something truly memorable? and yet without the full skills of a cross country skier or arctic winter camper?
