Having flown direct from London to Marrakech (overnight hotel), we drive to the Atlantic Coast Charity Trek start point close to the coast (about 3 hrs drive time). The trek heads northwards over undulating terrain, discovering what appears to be endless beaches and coves. The crashing waves are your constant companion. We use locations close to the beaches for camping sites, food freshly prepared by the skilled camp chef and it is delicious; no going hungry here! If you are brave enough, head into the sea for a dip!
This Atlantic Coast Charity Trek route is not to be underestimated though! It is challenging at times climbing high above the sea offering great views before descending again.
The Atlantic Coast Charity Trek finishes some 40 mins drive from the atmospheric port and UNESCO site of Essaouira. You will be treated to a celebration dinner in the evening so you may have time to wander through the spice-scented lanes, palm-lined avenues of the fortified medina or browse the many art galleries and boutiques this port has to offer. You have one final night in Marrakech and the chance the explore there too before you fly back to the UK.
